Museum content I wish I'd translated: the Crab Museum in Margate 🦀

I had my reservations when my friend Hope said we were hitting up this iconic establishment. But as I clambered up the steps to a (not to scale) crab diorama of the 1926 General Strike (in Crabton-upon-Tyne), complete with fascist moon crab and a common box crab wielding a trunction, I was in.

In the vice-like grip of King Crab. Colour me crustacean. Mention Margate to me now and I will tell you about the Crab Museum. In detail.

It may be that I enjoy this tone of voice because it's my exact sense of humour. Maybe because an anagram of my full name is "A Crime-Eyed Crab" (a crab with an eye for crime).

Maybe I've lost my mind. A mere shell of a woman.

Or perhaps it's just something fun and whimsical, the likes of which I'd never seen before in a museum. I loved it then and I love it now, and isn't that what you want from a visitor experience? Plus, they got some free promo just from me posting this? Win-win, surely!?
